Club photographic competitions
are as serious as you want them to be.
Some members like to be winners and we see excellent pictures from them generally. Other members like to hear what the judge has to say about their entries and then try to improve their techniques then others just like to display pictures for the members to see. All are welcome.
At a monthly competition we aim for a total of 100 plus entries.
Last season the 'Monthly' competitions were divided into four sections.
Open (excluding Natural History), Set Subject, Natural History and Mono Images.
We have included the winning entries for the season 2009/10 on separate pages so click on the page you want -
OPEN, SET SUBJECT or NATURAL HISTORY competitions.
We also have fun competitions such as a single print colour, mono and natural history competitions judged by the members present on the night.
We have AV nights where members show the pictures they took on the summer outings.
We are affiliated to the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union and we enter their competitions. Fernley Stribling organises the entries and unless a member objects, uses the images entered into the Monthly and Annual Competitions.
We have several trophies for both monthly and annual competitions.
